About
Founder and CEO, Larry Volz, has been a practicing surgeon for twenty years, specializing in trauma, robotics, breast and colon cancer among others. He spent time as a hospital Chief Medical Officer and served as a surgeon in the Air Force for a short time. After years of frustration with the current methods of patient tucking, he created a solution that would make his own surgeries run more smoothly and his patients happier with their results.
"SafeTuck was designed to ensure a faster, safer, and more cost-effective way to solve a problem that’s existed for years - particularly at a time when hospitals are under pressure to provide better care at a lower cost with less staff."
Larry’s passion extends to supporting his fellow surgeons. In 2021, he had the opportunity to deliver a TED talk which he entitled, “Who's caring for the people who are caring for us?”
His goal was to reach physicians and leaders who were struggling despite their need to be strong for their teams. He wanted to address the problem with the hope that people would reach out for help and support.
Compassion, high-quality care, and efficiency are not just buzzwords to Larry. They are at the very core of who he is and what he has designed SafeTuck to do for patients and medical personnel alike.
